THE MANAGEMENT TEAM 

Peter Cordtz

Chief Executive

Peter is of Samoan and Maori descent. His father originates from the village of Magiagi, Samoa and his mother has tribal affiliations with Ngati Wai and Ngati Hine.Born in Auckland and raised in Mangere Peter attended Mangere College, prior to to commencing a four year applied science degree at Massey University in Palmerston North. At the completion of his studies Peter worked in Hawkes Bay before returning to Auckland in 1995 with his wife to raise their three sons.
He has worked in Sports, Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation (SFRITO) as an Industry Advisor specialising in Sport and Pasifika traineeships and then as Industry Liaison Manager before progressing his career as the General Manager for the Rugby League Foundation. His most recent position was General Manager of New Zealand Rugby League
 

Ina Michael

Interim Training & Business Development Manager

Ina is a New Zealand born Cook Islander. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University. Prior to joining the Trust, Ina has worked in a variety of positions which have included human resource management, education, recruitment, sports administration and personal training. Entrepreneurial by nature, after having started his first business in 2003, Ina has remarked that his story and learning  is in some ways similar to the Internationally acclaimed book of, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” by Robert Kiyosaki. Ina joined the Trust with a desire to help more Pacific Islanders into business. With a passion for organisational and personal development, Ina believes Pacific Business Trust provides an ideal vehicle in which Pacific Islanders in and outside of business can be assisted. His role at the Trust is managing the new business programmes being offered in partnership with Te Wananga o Aotearoa. In the interim period, Ina will be managing training and business development portfolio’s.



Maria Fuata

Interim Corporate Manager

Maria holds a BA with double majors in Accounting & Financial Management and Management & Public Administration. As such she has over 10 years experience in the combined areas of Financial Accounting Management and Chartered Accounting. She has held Finance and Administration Manager positions at Pacific Media Network and PBT (in 2003) when she migrated to New Zealand with her husband and family from Suva, Fiji. Before leaving Fiji Maria was a Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has also been employed at Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants in the Auckland CBD. Until recently Maria was running her family businesses.  However after 2 years of perseverance and challenges, she is happy to return to the Trust. Maria has a strong desire and focus on assisting our Pacific community as part of her role as Interim Corporate Manager.
