MISSION
During 2008/09 while the vision remained unchanged the mission of the Pacific Business Trust was amended to reflect the increased provision for training which has become an increasing core component of the overall economic and business development activities of the Pacific Business Trust.
Our new mission statement:
"Assist Pacific People into Business through Successful Training and Development"
This mission statement reflects the Trust’s leadership role as a nationwide training and economic development organisation to advance the business aspirations of the Pacific community in skilled employment and business and further communicating their positive contribution to the New Zealand economy and society overall.

Business Advisory Services
The Pacific Business Trust has an experienced team of qualified business advisors who provide a range of free mentoring, advice, planning and support services throughout New Zealand. The team is based in four locations nationally in Waitakere, Otahuhu, Porirua and Christchurch.
Pacific Business Awards
The aim of Pacific Business Awards is to showcase excellence by Pacific business leaders and to provide inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs. These awards are held every second year covering five categories:

• Pacific Business Enterprise of the Year
• Pacific Business Executive of the Year
• Pacific Business Person of the Year
• Pacific Community Enterprise Award
• Pacific Export of the Year Award
• Pacific Health and Safety Award
Pasifika Unlimited
This is a half day seminar series presented by leading business minds in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. This series comprises of 20 minute seminars with an additional 30 minutes for questions and answers. It is designed to be focused and “to-the-point” as well as engaging participants with relevant, high value information and inspiration. These seminars are held ever quarter. Growing Young Pacific Enterprenuers
This programme is designed to assist and support the development of aspiring young Pacific entrepreneurs – the next potential generation of Pacific business leaders. This is an exciting programme that challenges teams of Pasifika secondary school students to present their most innovative business idea and showcase their flair for business. Thanks to the collaboration and generosity of AUT, MIT and Unitec Business School all participants receive a certificate and the opportunity to win a tertiary scholarship.
