Study Options

Contact Mode - Available nationally and involves attending one class per week and a workshop every three weeks, plus study in your own time for a set number of hours.

Your learning will include:
How to complete a comprehensive business plan for your business or business idea focussing on:

  • Small Business Management - The business planning process and the New Zealand business environment. 
  • Business Law - Legal terms and concepts and preparing a legal plan. 
  • Marketing - Principles and concepts which can be applied to real-life situations. 
  • People Management - Employment and staff development as well as operations and personnel requirements. 
  • Small Business Accounting - Business mathematics and accounting concepts including Cashbooks, GST returns etc. 
  • The Financial Plan - Taxation, budgeting, sources of finance and financial policies and procedures.

Further Study
Diploma in Small Business Enterprise (Level 5).

To be enrolled in this programme, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
